The 8th grade U.S. History professional learning community at Goodard Junior High School worked hard all year to impact student learning in Social Studies. This group of teachers is a great example of a team that collaborates and builds capacity in their students daily. During the 2017-2018 school year, they attended the fall TCSS conference and have used Lead4Ward strategies to improve student retention and understanding of the curriculum. This team takes new instructional strategies and immediately turns them around with their students, and have worked vigorously to make learning accessible for all students. In this effort, they have built an amazingly collaborative team. This team is the true definition of teacher leaders.
